‘Valentiine’ are a 3 piece all girl garage rock band from Melbourne. If you’ve never heard of them you most likely would have passed by them rolling their gear into their iconic combi van or seen them crowding out Melbourne’s most loved dirty little pubs.
They can be recognized by their quirky image. Like a packet of skittles, the Blonde, Rehead and natural brunette substitute you're sugar intake with goosebumps and angst all in the same mix.
The girls reincarnate the heavy 90’s into something beautiful, dirty pop hooks drowned in the honesty of screaming vocals with seething cheerleader harmonies over the top.. Making The Breeders or Veruca Salt proud.
Their live shows fill the room with a dark beauty, simple melodies that’ll rent a room in your head for the next week or so. These girls define a type of passionate cunning rock dressed in ripped dirty jeans, and eye shadow.
Their Previous album plainly titled ‘Valentiine’ has been buzzing around Melbourne since late last year. Erin Hill from Beat Magazine says, “The three young Melbourne ladies have taken one for the team here and smashed it out of the park on their scorching debut album. It’s proper, raw, gruelling femme-rock”
Valentiine have supported well known bands, “Magic Dirt’ (Adalita), Jebediah, Kellie Lloyd (Scream feeder) and Jeffery star, also taking part in the St. Kilda Fest, Cherry rock festival at Day by The Greens, OxJam Festival in Leciester UK and Grungapolooza festival in Leipzig, Germany.
In 2012, the band wrapped up their own European tour covering 22 shows throughout UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany and signed to UK independent, Integrity Records (Million Dead, Reuben, Katastrophy Wife).
Their debut European single Love Like (April) precedes a full release of their debut album and a headline UK tour in June.
